5 Tips for Younger Looking Eyes

When it comes to eye care, prevention is key. But how do you keep your eye area wrinkle-free in your 30s, 40s, 50s, and every decade beyond? (For starters, eye serum.)

Aestheticians and beauty editors alike always get asked a stream of similar questions: How often should you get a facial? What products should you use? Should you wear SPF every day? Do you use eye cream in the morning and at night?

Below are five of the beauty industry's top tips on how to keep your eye area looking fresh as your age.

1. APPLY EYE SERUM MORNING AND NIGHT

      With delicacy in mind, it’s easy to understand why our eye area is the first to show signs of fatigue from a life well-lived, which is all the more reason to have an arsenal of advice to tackle eye-area concerns. 

      According to dermatologists and aestheticians alike, it's important to apply eye serum morning and night.

      2. PUT DOWN YOUR PHONE

      Another tip: Limit screen time (and the associated eye strain that comes with it). Take time to rest and try not to strain the eyes [while] looking at your phone, computers, and TV screens too much.

      Getting a good night's sleep and instituting screen-time caps may seem basic, but their benefit is real. Sleep helps the body renew and repair itself and allows your eyes to rest while letting that eye serum work its magic.

      3. GIVE YOURSELF A MASSAGE


       

      No matter how well you’re doing on the sleep and screen fonts, massage can help. Facial massage is vital to your skin’s circulation, elasticity, and tone.

      4. INCLUDE A MASK IN YOUR REGIMEN

      5. INVEST IN A CONCEALER

      And when all seems momentarily lost, a good concealer will camouflage any mishaps into unmistakable radiance. After all, even the most well-rested of us need to invest in a concealer.  My personal favorite right now is 

      A little bit of this concealer goes a really long way!  Warm a tiny bit on your hand and dot under your eyes.  Extra Tip:  I also use this right underneath my eyebrows to enhance my eyes.

      I know I originally said this was going to be 5 tips but I have to include this last tip because it is one I truly believe and I want to share with you.  

      Remember when you use your eye serum to not just focus on the under eye area.  Your eyelids begin to show age and wrinkle also.  Share the love and apply your serum over your entire eye.
